Almost all the cities with subway have any station ghost. Madrid Metro also has its own. It's an abandoned station for some time and which is still visible through the current subway lines.
Stories of ghost trains or appearances supposedly witnessed by many travellers are only part of the legend.
Chamberí stationThe Madrid metro began operation in 1919 with line 1 between Cuatro Caminos and Sol. In the 1960s this line 1 had to undergo a major renovation. Stations should be long for that in the convoy of the metro enter more wagons.
Chamberi metro station did not accept this enlargement with what you choose to close to having other stations nearby. On May 21, 1966 the metro became modified by this station and entries to the street were closed leaving the station buried underground.
Today still we can see it going from the train. The images we are transported to another era and almost everyone who sees believes that there is something strange and mysterious at this station, there is no cobwebs, or rats, but if an air of another time. No wonder that more than a soul has been United to that old now ghost metro station
